Proceedings are a vital part of the XML Conference. Speakers are expected to write a proceedings paper for all talks except keynotes (and they're welcomed from these speakers as well!) in XML. The proceedings are then converted into HTML, PDF, and, in recent years, SVG. They complement the presentation slides to ensure that the content of the talk is still available after attendees have forgotten precise details of what the speaker said.
This is the final version of the XML 2005 proceedings; many thanks to the speakers for writing their papers, and to Lauren Wood and the team at RenderX for turning them into the proceedings you now see.
