Call for XML Artwork

Call for Artwork at XML Conference & Exposition 2005

For the last few years, the XML North America conference series has
offered creative people the opportunity to display their XML-themed
artwork. In 2005, we continue the tradition.
Past exhibits (see XML 2003 Artwork and XML 2004 Artwork) have included "type portraits" formed entirely out
of text; SVG-based swoops and swirls; comic strips about XML's
history; XSL-FO specification snippets done in
calligraphy; needlework on the subject of the XML Infoset;
hierarchical quilting; handmade paper printed with XML-derived bar
codes; and more. What can you dream up?
The
artwork must be related to XML in some way and be mountable on a
display board (half a board is 4 feet/1.2 meters square). IDEAlliance
will provide display labels on which you can provide information about
your piece, such as its title and how it was created, and will also
supply mounting pins and tape. Displays will be shown in the exposition
hall during exposition hours. Security for the displays will be the
same as for any equipment in the commercial exhibits. IDEAlliance
reserves the right to remove any art display for any reason.
If
you are interested in displaying your work at this event, please
reserve a space now by completing and submitting the form below. (If
your work has any special display requirements, let us know.)
